Tip 2 Tip
Summer 2014
I'm a wanderer of Europe, and this is the final challenge that faces me on this small, but wonderful continent of ours. So much beauty, variety and great people exist on this landmass, and there is no better way to experience the greatness of this part of the world than on your bike!
This ride first came into my head many years ago, and was consolidated after the summer ride 2007 where Robert Harrison, Mark Harrison and myself rode from Calais in France to Romania in around 1 month. With our trusty bikes we fought hills, heat and mosquito attacks to complete our goal (and cheaply too!)
Since that fantastic trip the 'Tip 2 Tip' ride has been stuck in my head, and although I foolishly chose a World Cup year to do it, you can't put it off forever..
The route avoids most major cities as they generally suck to ride in, but exceptions are Oslo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Munster, Koln, Basel, Bordeaux, Biarritz, Pamplona, Madrid and Gibraltar. If any readers know of a free bed in those cities for a smelly biker for one night, please let me know!
